BROWN UNIVERSITY
Art Director, 2017-2018
In charge of integrating newly structured Creative Services Team within the larger Office of University Communications. As chief strategist and designer, tasked with elevating the Brown brand to reposition its standing in the Ivy League. Led a new team of 5 designers of varying experience and skill level, creating a studio environment that fostered collaboration.

Rebranded all Admissions materials, including reconceiving the Admissions website and a key strategic communication that was issued to more than 55,000 prospective students; collaborated with cross-departmental teams for major rebrands of University-wide institutes; brought more than 30 departments into brand alignment; oversaw the design and production of 50–100 projects per month. Internal Clients included Brown Office of the President, Brown University Office of Admissions, Brown University School
of Public Health, and Brown Alpert Medical School.

BASICS GROUP, Providence, Rhode Island

Clients included the Rhode Island Foundation, Citizens Bank, CVS Health, the Rhode Island Commerce Corporation, Rhode Island Department of Education, and HealthSource Rhode Island.

Big-picture strategist for brand development, logo design, print, web and application interface design, messaging, and implementation. 

Executed a major rebrand and communication strategy for the Rhode Island Foundation, which drove giving by 21.6%. Continued project lead for ongoing special events-related materials, including a 100th Anniversary campaign, which raised over $10 million. 

Conceived and orchestrated “Rhode Island — It’s All In Our Backyard” campaign, including concept development, logo design, execution of events, traditional and social media, video, and website. 

Developed HealthSource RI digital and print campaign to attract key audiences to purchase insurance from the RI exchange. Developed user profiles and art directed photo shoots, including casting real models and selecting photographers who had specific experience to match the target audience.

COLORFAST, Providence, Rhode Island
Founder, President, 2014-Present
Founder of digital print and textile design company. Collaborated with Zoe Latta of Eckhaus Latta to develop original pattern archive of print designs. Contracted with major brands to deliver original pattern design based on supplied inspiration and color palette. Directed 5 freelance designers, in design development for specific pattern lines. Created a process for digitizing vintage samples that included scanning, redesigning, and recoloring patterns to create an extensive vintage archive. Curated a library of digital and physical vintage patterns for inspiration and development. 

Started a research and manufacturing pilot facility for the design and production of digitally printed textiles. Developed methods of production and operation through researching, mapping, collecting, archiving, observing, and bringing together design and manufacturing.

RHODE ISLAND SCHOOL OF DESIGN, Providence, Rhode Island Instructor, Infinite Surface Design, Summer 2015
Instructor for continuing education students in pattern and surface design for digital printing. Created a simplified system for translating rough handmade work into complex digital patterns. Trained students on large-scale digital printer and finishing equipment. 

SCHWA DESIGN, Providence, Rhode Island Project Manager, 2005-2008 | Junior Designer, 2007-2008
Project Managed a group of over 20 freelance graphic and web designers to coordinate website, print, tradeshow and packaging projects for over 40 clients. Co-project managed the implementation of the “Providence, the Creative Capital” campaign. Clients included The City of Providence, British Telecom, Delta Dental of Massachusetts, Rhode Island Hospital and Ounce Labs.

BOX LTD, New York, New York Director of Exhibitions, 2001-2003 | Archivist, 1999-2001
Established exhibitions department for high-end digital photography studio. Managed a department of 3 with a $1 million budget. Produced exhibitions, catalogs and books for artists, museums and galleries such as Pace/MacGill and the Victoria and Albert Museum. Oversaw fine art book and catalog press production on-site in Germany and New York. Created workflow and production system for limited editions of fine art photographs. Initiated and instituted standard for digital archiving of digital image files. Built and maintained a digital catalog of over 35,000 files. Clients included Annie Leibovitz, The Estate of Guy Bourdin, Roni Horn, Philip-Lorca di Corcia, Calvin Klein, Vogue, and American Express.
