Amy Lee Bernhardt

I have worked in the design technology industry for almost 20 years with a broad range of clients from artists and designers to major corporations.

I was recently named one of two Rhode Island Innovation Fellows for my proposal to start a digital inkjet textile design and manufacturing pilot facility in Rhode Island.

My project, Colorfast, has found a home in Pawtucket’s Design Exchange, just steps from Slater Mill. Retrofitting of the space is almost complete and the large format digital inkjet fabric printers are expected to be up and running in June.

My team has already produced a large surface design library for sale and are working on a document library of vintage prints. I continues to forge important alliances and relationships with leading apparel designers who are looking forward to working with Colorfast.
